Last week wednesday I competed in the finals of the Springbreak DJ competition. And guess what… I won! The night was long, the party was awesome and the competition was very exiting! Both the jury and the party people in Studio Tilburg decided that I was the winner of the evening. This means that on June the 21 I will be playing at Springbreak 2012! The past few months have been pretty hectic for me as a DJ. I’ll give you the highlights. As I mentioned before, I have competed in the dutch DJ contest ‘De Beste DJ van Nederland’. In the regional finals I had to compete against the best DJ’s from Utrecht and Noord Holland. Out of the 10 contestants, I earned the first price! The jury was very enthusiastic about my performance and they told me that they became my fans instantly. I was flattered by their positive words about my set. Because of this accomplishment I made it to the semi finals. There I had to play against the best DJ’s from Limburg, Brabant, Zeeland and Zuid Holland. The level of the other DJ’s was very high, so high that I eventually earned the 4th place (the first 3 DJ’s made it through to the finals). It has been an amazing time competing in this contest! Furthermore, I have earned my place in the finals of the Springbreak DJ contest. On May the 9th I will be playing against 3 other DJ’s for a spot in the line up of Springbreak 2012, where I could play together with Marcel Woods in front of 1100 students! This is going to be exiting!

I’ll give you a small update of the things that happened the last few months! First of all, on January the 7th the first edition of 50/50 started in Club Jules in Arnhem. It was a good start for a new party in town and the music was awesome. Let me quote the owner of the Jules; ”you guys have the best music in town tonight!” There is still a lot of planning to be done but the next edition will probably be held in March

Furthermore I am proud to announce that I am the new resident DJ of Havana in Tilburg! I will be playing there once a month from now on, on the friday nights. They appreciate tribal, tech house and vocal house so this will be a great opportunity for me to bring my sound to the people of Tilburg!

Last friday, just before I started playing at the Havana I got a phone call from the Clubstitute Dance Radio station. They were happy to inform me that I made it to the next round in the DJ contest De Beste DJ van Nederland! The news was very unexpected for me. I already won a lot of workshops from Pioneer and I am going to compete for the title; Best DJ of the Netherland 2012!

Well well, a lot has happened during the last few weeks. There are a lot of things going on right now. I am very excited to inform you all that I will be getting my own party! It will be held in Arnhem, in Club Jules. The Jules is going to re-open on the saturday evening, a great opportunity to try out a new flow of music in Arnhem’s party scene. I will be organizing this party together with a very talented friend, Daniel Williamsen. It’s called: 50/50. The first edition will be held on January 7th! More info will come soon.

Furthermore, I am going to compete in the DJ contest ‘Beste DJ van Nederland’, a national competition for talented DJ’s in Holland. There is a lot at stake at this contest. To win in my province, Utrecht, my mix should be selected as one of the 5 best mixes in the field. There is also a Wildcard voting procedure, but I would rather be selected on talent. It’s been a while since my last post. There is a simple explanation, my Traktor s4 was broken down. It took Native Instruments 2 whole months to decide that I could use a brand new controller. All the frustration of not being able to play has resulted in some new creativity; my newest mixtape Avontuur II. In this mix you will hear the hottest sounds of this moment. In one hour you will experience the power of House, Tech House and Tribal sounds.

A few days ago my plane brought me back from an amazing dj-ing experience with gogo in Croatia! In the three weeks I spent there I’ve had a total of 27 gigs. I’ve seen it all there, parties on islands, boats, clubs, beaches. You name it, I played there! Now it’s time to get some things back on track in Holland. In a few weeks, my monthly radio show on Dance Tunes radio will start. Furthermore, I have been approached by the ‘Maria’, a salsa bar in Utrecht. They want me to play in their new party concept on the friday night. It will be a night of chillout and tech house sounds. You can enjoy my sounds in the Maria once a month from September onwards. Apart from those new regular gigs I will continue to play for En-Suite and Invite. I am looking forward to a promising dj-ing year!

This afternoon my plane will be leving to the beautifull and sunny Kroatia! I will be staying for three weeks in one of the best holiday spots in the country, Porec! In those three weeks I will be playing in huge clubs, beach cruises, islands, party-boats and so on! It is gonna be a wonderfull experience. Furthermore there are some rumours going on about two more residency’s! You will hear more about them soon enough.

Last friday I got an amazing phonecall from the Dutch travel agency Gogo. Gogo organizes a lot of summer party’s all over Europe. Together with a lot of huge Dutch dj’s they turn your summer holiday in a fantastic party! The good news is; they want me to come and play for 3 weeks in Kroatia! How good is that? 3 weeks of summer, beach and sick clubbing nights. More info will follow soon!

Just a very short message this time, a few days ago I entered the Theatric Beats DJ Contest. Theatric Beats is a one day dance festival in Cuijk with artists like Gregor Salto, Sidney Samson, Skitzofrenix, Boemklatsch and many more! Out of the 50 contestants I ended up with the final 10. The 3 DJ’s that get the most votes from the visitors will battle in a final DJ cotest for a place in the line up on the mainstage.

It has been confirmed! From August my tunes will be heard on Dance-Tunes Radio, one of the leading online radio stations broadcasting dance music. Dance Tunes Radio is part of ID-T, the orginization behind phenomenal parties like Sensation White. I will be tuning in once a month, spinning the latest and the hottest tech house tunes.
